This Is An Oem Genuine Ge Defrost Thermostat Part Number . The Specs Of This Defrost Thermostat Are L140-30F. This Part Limits How Warm The Freezer Section Can Get During The Defrost Cycle. Often Times If Your Freezer Is Not Holding The Correct Temperature Either Freezing Too Much And Building Up Ice Or Too Warm, You Should Inspect The Defrost Thermostat. The Center Of The Thermostat Often Times Swells And Pops, If Yours Shows Signs Of Swelling It Needs To Be Replaced. Normally This Thermostat Can Be Tested For Continuity, If You Do Test The Thermostat For Continuity It Should Test Closed At Room Temperature.
